INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MINISTRY
At The Greenhouse, we partner with Tennessee Wesleyan University to “adopt” incoming international students each fall and spring. Our goal is to help them feel at home in Athens by providing community connections and meaningful relationships.
HOW IT
WORKS
Families from Greenhouse are paired with an international student and encouraged to:

• Invite them into their homes for meals
​
• Take them to experience local events
​
• Support them at their games and matches
While students live on campus, they love having a family connection during their time in Athens!
WHY IT
MATTERS
These relationships create beautiful opportunities to share the Gospel and love our international neighbors right here in our own backyard. Over the life of this program, we’ve seen several students come to Christ — and we’ve even sent teams to visit students’ families in their home countries! This is a powerful way we serve the nations at Greenhouse.
WAYS TO
GET INVOLVED
Annual Events:
• Welcome Dinner – September
• Christmas Party – Late November
• Welcome Bags: Provide snacks and necessities like sheets, hangers, and laundry detergent for new and returning students (early August)
• Greenhouse Fan Club: Show up and cheer on students at their sporting events throughout the year
